Seasonal anagrams 2004

You may already be aware that "Santa" is only a very small rearrangement away from "Satan". However, we are grateful to Stanley Accrington for further revealing that:

"Father Christmas" (another name for Santa Claus)

reveals the hidden message:

"This charmer's fat!"

Those who have recently spent more on gifts, food and drink than they would have liked may also find it apt that "Christmas" rearranges to say "Trims cash" (thank you Jeff Kastner).

Anagrams also don't spell out much seasonal joy for the days of the period. David Bourke has revealed that "Christmas Eve" is a "Massive retch" and Joe Fathallah that "Christmas Day" is "Mad scary sh*t".

Various holiday greetings are no less cynical. Mike Mesterton-Gibbons has discovered that "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" rearranges to say "Starry hype. Many wrap merchandise". Mike did the same with "Season's Greetings" to reveal that "Gross eating's seen".

However, perhaps the prize for the best recent holiday anagram goes to David Bourke. He has been listening to the music singles charts for many years and has discovered that:

"A Christmas Number One" -> "means abhorrent music"!
